Regeneration at Whitechapel

07/05/2016 Published By Paul Newman

By working closely with our Historic client and Julian Harrap Architects we were commissioned to manufacture and revitalise the timber shop fronts along Whitechapel High Street.

Whitechapel is renowned for being heavily populated and as one of the busiest routes by road in London.  The undertaking of replacing the existing shop fronts, glazing, roller shutters and awnings required a strict comprehensive schedule of works that would need to maintain the general every day running for the shop keepers with immediate access to the local community and residents.

Each shop in turn received a three day combination schedule which proved successful for the multifaceted businesses and residents, with the removal of the existing shop front to the full installation of new shop front with glazing included, safety roller shutter and bespoke awning box.  The additions of the fascia, Corbels and Cornices and final finished decoration all enhanced the overall aspect and transformation of the local area.
